Manufacturing Programme

Performance Knit Fabric Manufacturer

Fersan Tekstil is a vertically integrated polyester knitted fabric manufacturer in Çorlu, Türkiye — from its own texturised filament to knitting, dyeing and heat-setting, ~750 tonnes a month since 1982. The performance knit programme is the sportswear-facing roof of that line.

Performance in a knitted fabric is engineered on three levels: the knit architecture that sets pores and channels, the filament fineness that sets contact surface, and the finish that sets moisture behaviour. We tune this trio to the target garment — because to us “breathability” is a measurement, not a marketing adjective: this is a programme that speaks the laboratory language of evaporative resistance (Ret), thermal resistance (Rct) and moisture management (MMT).

We supply sports brands and garment makers across Western Europe, Russia and the CIS, and regularly produce to the test standards of European sports and apparel brands. The four structures below are the load-bearing skeleton of the programme; each card opens its technical data sheet.

Performance structures we manufacture in this programme

Single Jersey (Polyester)

Single jersey (performance)

120–200 g/m²

In this application
The light base of the programme: fast-drying single jersey — the skeleton of high-volume training tops.
Composition
100% polyester single-knit; cotton/elastane blends exist, but pure PES is the most common sport variant.

Moisture-Wicking Performance Knit

Moisture-wicking performance knit

130–220 g/m²

In this application
A functional knit engineered for sweat transport plus a wicking finish: the performance core of the programme.
Composition
Mostly 100% polyester; often ~80–90% PES / 10–20% elastane (with-spandex) for stretch and fit.

Microfiber Polyester Knit

Microfiber polyester knit

85–180 g/m²

In this application
Sub-denier filament spreads moisture over a wide surface and adds a premium peach-skin touch.
Composition
100% polyester microfiber — filament fineness below 1 denier (microdenier, ~0.5 dpf); far finer than standard PES (1.5–4 dpf).

Interlock (Double-Knit Polyester)

Interlock (double-knit)

160–250 g/m²

In this application
Double-bed stability and opacity: the structure for polos and sport tops that must hold their shape.
Composition
100% polyester double-knit; cotton and elastane blends also exist.

Weight windows come from catalogue data; final specs are confirmed on a sample.

Your fabric development partner

We build the performance target backwards from the garment: knit, filament fineness and finish are combined to match your use case, sweat transport and drying behaviour are test-reported per order, and antimicrobial, UV-protection (UPF) and water-repellent (DWR) finishes are applied on request and documented with test reports. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Frequently asked questions

How do you verify performance claims such as breathability and fast drying?

By measurement, not adjectives: sweat transport, drying and thermal comfort behaviour are laboratory-tested and reported per order; the report joins your shipment file.

Can you develop against a reference fabric we already use?

Yes — send the target garment or the benchmark fabric; we build the knit, filament fineness and finish combination around it and present lab-dips and a tested counter-sample.

What is the minimum order (MOQ) for performance knits?

MOQ is 500–1,000 kg per colour depending on the structure; the exact figure is confirmed with your quotation. Trial volumes during development are discussed case by case.

What are your lead time and delivery terms?

Typical lead time is 3–4 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch; we work EXW, FOB or DAP. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Can the same structures be made with elastane or as rPET?

Yes — elastane variants cover pieces that need stretch and recovery, and the same structures are knitted from GRS-certified rPET yarn for sustainability targets; see the related manufacturing programmes.
