Polyester Interlock Fabric Manufacturer

Fersan Tekstil is a vertically integrated polyester knitted fabric manufacturer in Çorlu, Türkiye — interlock is knitted on our own double-bed machines, dyed in the same HT dyehouse and heat-set for stability; ~750 tonnes a month since 1982.

Interlock is born of two rib structures interlocking on a double-bed machine: identical smooth faces, high opacity, edges that do not curl, and markedly more stability than single jersey. Our programme runs from plain interlock to a multi-direction stretch elastane version, the Ponte di Roma body for structured pieces and the interlock-rib that bridges into the rib family; heat-setting locks in dimensional stability.

That flat, double-faced ground makes interlock the cleanest carrier for sublimation printing: with no ribs or cell shadows on the surface, motif edges stay sharp. From innerwear to corporate uniforms, we supply brands and garment makers across Western Europe, Russia and the CIS, and routinely produce to the test standards of European sports and apparel brands. The ordering terms below are the same figures we quote.

Interlock structures we manufacture in this programme

Polyester Interlock

Interlock (double-knit)

170–260 g/m²

In this application
The core of the programme: identical twin faces, non-curling edges, an opaque and stable base — the sharpest ground for sublimation.
Composition
100% polyester (e.g. 75D/72f textured filament yarn); rPET common, elastane-free.

Polyester Stretch Interlock with Elastane

Stretch interlock + elastane

180–300 g/m²

In this application
Multi-direction stretch with snap-back; for leggings, bodysuits and body-hugging tops.
Composition
Polyester base + elastane; typically 5–12% (from comfort to high recovery). Higher levels belong to warp-knit power nets, not interlock.

Ponte di Roma (Punto di Roma) Double Knit

Ponte di Roma double knit

270–360 g/m²

In this application
The Ponte di Roma body: a thick, shape-holding double-face base — the foundation of structured pieces.
Composition
Polyester-led; most qualities carry ~3–8% elastane. Market ponte is often rayon/poly-elastane; this file takes a polyester+elastane base.

Interlock (smooth double-knit)

Interlock (smooth double-knit)

180–300 g/m²

In this application
The smooth-faced double-knit bridge from the rib family — rib-free innerwear and clean-faced tops.
Composition
100% polyester (common); elastane-free — stretch comes from the structure.

Your fabric development partner

Within the interlock programme, weight, tightness and hand are tuned to your garment; colours are approved via lab-dip, and dimensional stability, fastness and pilling are documented per order with test reports. For innerwear and uniform projects, antimicrobial and UV-protection (UPF) finishes are applied on request and reported. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Frequently asked questions

What is your minimum order (MOQ) for polyester interlock?

We work in the 500–1,000 kg per colour range; the exact figure is confirmed with your quotation depending on structure and weight. Trial volumes during collection development are planned separately.

What are your lead time and delivery terms?

Typical lead time is 3–4 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch; we work EXW, FOB or DAP. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Is interlock really the best ground for sublimation printing?

It is one of the flattest surfaces among polyester knits: the double-face structure gives a rib-free, smooth, opaque ground where motif edges come out sharp. We tune heat-setting parameters to your printer’s process so the cloth holds its shape after printing.

What advantages does interlock bring in cutting and sewing?

Since the edges do not curl, spreading and cutting are fast and the risk of skipped stitches drops; high dimensional stability keeps pattern measurements through washing. In repetitive production such as uniforms, that cuts waste and size drift.

Which variant should I choose for innerwear and uniforms?

For smooth next-to-skin comfort, plain interlock or interlock-rib; for mobile, body-hugging pieces, elastane interlock; for structured tops that must hold their form, Ponte di Roma (double-knit interlock). The data sheets on the cards carry enough detail to compare.
